JOHANNESBURG – The Premier Soccer League awards ceremony has been to a later date.
The awards have traditionally been held during June.
“However, due to Mamelodi Sundowns Football Club’s participation in both the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup and the 2024/25 CAF Champions League Final, the League has taken the decision to postpone this season’s PSL Awards Ceremony”, read the PSL statement.
The League will communicate the new date and further details of the Awards Ceremony in due course.
“The PSL, its Member Clubs, and all stakeholders in professional football across the country are united in their support for Mamelodi Sundowns as they fly the flag for South African football at these prestigious events.”
The Tswane giants recently won the inaugural Betway Premiership season and were presented with the new trophy after defeating Magesi FC 2-0 at Loftus Versfeld Stadium.
