JOHANNESBURG - Some residents in the City of Tshwane are still without electricity amid a cold front as technical teams battle with repairs to a substation that caught fire.
The fire resulted in an explosion at the Zwartkop substation, leaving some parts of Centurion and Pretoria East without electricity for days.
Spokesperson Lindela Mashigo said the city apologises for any inconvenience caused.
“The city pleads for patience and cooperation from the affected customers whilst technicians are working around the clock to restore power. The estimated time for restoration will be communicated once the bulk of the repair work has been completed.”
