Cooler temperatures expected as cold snap eases

JOHANNESBURG - The South African Weather Service (SAWS) says a cold front that has affected several parts of the country has passed.

However, Forecastor Lehlohonolo Thobela warned that people in the Northern Cape may still experience extreme cold temperatures.
"Fine conditions are expected, with cool temperatures over most parts of the country. In the eastern parts, we're expecting cool temperatures, warm in the northern parts of the country, covering the northern areas of Limpopo into the low-lying fields of Mpumalanga."
