Tshwane residents are warned about traffic disruption on Saturday morning due to a march that will be taking place in the city.

Supporters of the Sacred Union of the Nation organisation — affiliated to a political coalition in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) — are expected to demonstrate from Magnolia Park in Pretoria East.

City officials have advised motorists to make use of alternative routes to avoid expected congestion.

Motorists who use Florence Ribeiro Avenue, Kloof Avenue, Melk Street, Boshoff Street, and several other surrounding routes in Pretoria East have been advised to avoid the routes.

The Sacred Union of the Nation is expected to be marching in solidarity with the victims of ongoing violent clashes in the DRC.

They are calling for the French government to stop fuelling conflict in the country.

The protesters are set to meet on Florence Ribeiro Avenue at 10 o'clock.
