JOHANNESBURG - The EFF has labelled remarks made during the recent engagement between President Cyril Ramaphosa and US President Donald Trump proof that the party remains a major political force.

Addressing supporters in Kwakwatsi in the Free state ahead of next week’s by-elections, Malema said it took Trump to remind South Africans of the EFF’s influence.
"Comrades, you were told that this organisation is dying and it's a useless organisation and it only took Donald Trump to remind all of you that this is not a small organisation. It was Donald Trump who said to Cyril Ramaphosa 'you can't say this is a small organisation because it is the only organisation in South Africa that filled up FNB stadium. And he said he never saw an empty seat."
Malema also criticised the South African delegation's visit to Washington DC, accusing them of denouncing black South Africans for demanding land and economic justice.
"They went to the White House to complain about you, that you want your land, that you want jobs, you want the banks and the mines to be returned into the hands of rightful owners."
