CAPE TOWN - The Department of Water and Sanitation said that water levels for all provincial dams currently sit at 56%, with no significant increases despite recent rainfall.
The Western Cape's provincial head, Ntombizanele Bila-Mupariwa, said that while dam levels may be low, there was currently no cause for concern.
"The dams should fully replenish before end of October or rather end of November this year."
She added that residents should still continue to use water sparingly.
"So at this point in time, I wouldn't say that they are sitting at a critical level, if you look at where we were in 2017, as well as last year."
