On Wednesday, Fose was honoured at a memorial service at Nkone Maruping Primary School attended by visibly grief-stricken friends and family.
The hall stood up in song as her uncle approached the podium.
He expressed deep gratitude for the support the family has received since the tragic ordeal.
"Her friends know why we are here today, they were last with her. I'm saying to her friends, come toward. We want them, as family and police, to explain to us what happened to Likhona. Why are we standing on top of her blood today?"
The teen will be buried at the family's homestead in the Eastern Cape this weekend.
