Boshielo says investigators not ruling out possibility Lukhona Fose murdered because of her sexuality

JOHANNESBURG - Deputy Minister of Police Polly Boshielo said investigators were not ruling out the possibility that 14-year-old Lukhona Fose was targeted because of her sexuality.
Fose, who was reported missing on Saturday evening, was last seen with her friends before she vanished.

Her body was found in an open veld, mutilated.
Boshielo said police were investigating a case of hate crime among other possibilities, including a muti-related crime.
"The SAPS [South African Police Service] Occult Unit is responsible for investigating any cases where body parts are removed from victims for various reasons, including hate crime or muti crime. Our investigations are still going on and multiple resources have been called on to find out who killed this young woman."
