JOHANNESBURG - Murdered 14-year-old Likhona Fose will be laid to rest on Saturday morning at Nkonkobe Village, in Alice, in the Eastern Cape.

The teen from Durban Deep, in the west of Johannesburg, was last seen leaving her home to play with friends.
Her gruesome death has sent shockwaves through her community, with residents angered by the tragic ordeal.

Earlier this week, a memorial service was held at Fose’s primary school, Nkone Maruping in Braamfischerville, where her schoolmates, family and friends remembered a life gone too soon.
The teen’s family is grappling with the devastating reality of burying their loved one without any arrests or a sense of closure, following her violent death.
As mourners united in their grief, the solemn occasion highlighted the increasing rate of violent deaths involving children in the country.
Her teachers lamented the tragic loss.
“United in our grief over the loss of our dear Likhona Fose. It's hard to find the right words when someone so young taken from us.”
She was described as a young star who had a promising future.
