The 57-year-old runner from Kommetjie, Cape Town, went missing after completing the Comrades Marathon.

Handing was recorded crossing the finish line just before 5 pm on Sunday. 

Following a wide-scale search, News24 reports that she was found on Monday morning, 15 hours later, nearly 7 km away near the National Sea Rescue Institute Base at Point Road.

An ambulance was called, and she was airlifted to the hospital.
