While it was not his first Comrades Marathon, it was the most nerve-racking.

Nadauld made the 12-hour cut-off time by just one second with a time of 11:59:59.

"I had a good run. The plan was to go out really easy and conservative and try and save some energy for the last third of the race… but I was probably a bit too far behind the curve.”
– Brad Nadauld
“For the last two kilometres I just put my head down, grit my teeth and went as hard as I could… the last kilometre was the fastest of the day… and I got in at the skin of my teeth.”
– Brad Nadauld
“It was a hard day… the Comrades is a hard race to run… but I think it could be a lot worse and I am just grateful to have gotten through pretty unscathed.”
– Brad Nadauld
