JOHANNESBURG - The mother of an 11-year-old rape victim says she feels a renewed anger every time she sees her alleged rapist in court.
The 29-year-old Ugandan national was denied bail by the Boksburg Magistrates Court on Friday.
He’s accused of raping the girl once in 2019 and again in December impregnating the child.

The court found that he failed to give exceptional circumstances for his release on bail.
The mother of an 11-year-old Boksburg girl sat in the public gallery throughout the bail application of a man who was once her family friend, but is now accused of violating her daughter.
On Friday, she breathed a sigh of relief as Magistrate Sipho Manana denied his request for bail.
"I was worried he might go free, and I knew once he is out on bail he was not going to come back here because I knew he is a flight risk. Every time I see him, I feel the anger is coming back like the same day my daughter told me what happened."
The man will now stand trial while in police custody.
His case has been transferred to the regional court and he will make his next appearance on Tuesday.
