Speaking at the official handover on Friday, Majodina said the upgraded pump station will help prevent further sewage spillages and improve flow to the Boitekong Wastewater Treatment Works.
"This sewer pump station it goes to an extent of the capacity, which is 25 mega litres per day that it can treat when it comes to it. At the moment, we are working at about 60% because it is huge so the affluent that comes to the plant at the moment from 235 is not exhausting the pumpstation."
