KZN's Ntuli lauds police for breakthrough arrest in Umlazi mass murder case

DURBAN - The KwaZulu-Natal provincial government has lauded police for making a breakthrough arrest in connection to May’s Umlazi mass murder case.
Eight people were attacked inside a home at the Zama informal settlement at U-section in May.
Four others were rushed to hospital after sustaining injuries from the shooting.

A suspect linked to the case was arrested at the weekend and has appeared in court.
KwaZulu-Natal Premier Thamsanqa Ntuli has praised police for the arrest.
"We commend the work of the police. They are doing quite good work. We have seen it, they are doing wonderful work, and we command even that one."
Ntuli has called on communities to play a role in providing information to police officers to crack such cases.
"We are encouraging members of the society in general to report criminal activities in the society so that we win the battle against crime."
