Bodies of 3 men found in Samora Machel

CAPE TOWN - The bodies of three men have been found in Samora Machel.
 
Police suspect the men were victims of a vigilante attack.

The trio was found in different locations of the informal settlement on Tuesday.

Investigators said that the men were allegedly known armed robbers in the area who were fatally assaulted.

Police spokesperson Andrè Traut said that authorities were appealing to the public for information that could lead to arrests.
 
"Vigilantism is condemned in the strongest possible terms. Such acts are not only unlawful but also undermine the rule of law. We urge anyone with information to come forward and assist in bringing those responsible to justice."
