Joburg Theatre to host third edition of Mayibuye iAfrica concert on Saturday and Sunday

JOHANNESBURG - The third edition of the Mayibuye iAfrika concert will kick off at the Joburg Theatre on Saturday night.
More than just a musical festival, the two-day concert is envisioned as a movement dedicated to restoring and celebrating the nation's social unity.

Both legends and rising stars are set to perform in the four-and-a-half-hour curated concert, directed by renowned South African guitarist and composer, Billy Monama.
In a vibrant celebration of ubuntu, Mayibuye iAfrika will host some of South Africa’s highly acclaimed artists.
Renowned names such as Soul Brothers, Berita, and Zoe Modiga, among others, will be performing on Saturday and Sunday.
This year's edition aims to serve as a call to action for the youth, inspiring them to shape a more progressive South Africa.
The movement is expected to highlight the country’s rich cultural heritage, vibrant history, and the everlasting spirit of ubuntu.
