The Pretoria High Court has struck the urgent bid by convicted killer and rapist Thabo Bester from the roll.

Bester approached the High Court on an urgent basis to challenge his transfer to Ebongweni Prison in Kokstad, KwaZulu-Natal.

His lawyers argued that the matter is urgent because they cannot consult with him for his main trial while he is at Ebongweni.

But Judge Mamoloko Kubushi says she is not convinced the matter is urgent.
