Liverpool football star Diogo Jota dies in car crash in Spain
According to AFP, the Civil Guard said a vehicle veered off a motorway in the municipality of Cernadilla in the northwestern province of Zamora, confirming the deaths of Jota and his brother.

JOHANNESBURG - Liverpool player Diogo Jota has died in a car accident in Spain at the age of 28.
The Portuguese forward was part of the team that won the Premier League title last season and helped his country win the UEFA Nations League title last month.
His younger brother, Andre Felipe, also died in the accident.
Jota got married two weeks ago to his long-term partner, with whom he has three young children.

LIVERPOOL MOURNING
Liverpool Football Club is mourning the loss of Jota.
The club was informed that the 28-year-old forward had died.
Liverpool said it will not be making any further comment on the matter and has asked for the privacy of Jota’s family, friends, teammates, and club staff to be respected as they try to come to terms with “an unimaginable loss”.
