[WATCH] ‘He was dedicated’: Mpho Mafole laid to rest in Kempton Park

Mpho Mafole was fatally shot on 30 June 2025, Monday while driving along the R23 highway in Kempton Park.

At the time of his death, Mafole was investigating a mysterious R2 billion revenue shortfall from the metro’s coffers.

His funeral service was held at the Kempton Park Civic Centre, where family, friends, and colleagues gathered to pay their final respects.
