JOHANNESBURG - Three Tshwane municipal workers accused of stealing a R7 million transformer have been released on bail.
The trio appeared before the Atteridgeville Magistrates Court on Tuesday, where the first accused, Siphiwe Mahlangu, was granted R35,000 bail, while Thomas Baloyi and Daniel Kubayi were released on R30,000 bail each.
In total, five suspects have been arrested in connection with the theft at the Laudium substation in November last year.
The fifth suspect handed himself over to police after a warrant of arrest was issued.
