JOHANNESBURG - The investigating officer in charge of the murder case of 14-year-old Likhona Fose has told the court that he believes the man accused should not be granted bail, citing safety concerns.

The bail hearing for 39-year-old Mduduzi Mnisi continues this morning at the Roodepoort magistrate's court.

The teen's mutilated body was found in an open veld not far from her home, a day after she was reported missing.

The investigating officer, Moses Semosa took the witness stand last week, where he was questioned on why he believes Mnisi should be denied bail.

Semosa said the court should not grant the accused bail for his own safety.
