14 suspects arrested in connection with KZN illegal marijuana plantation

DURBAN - Fourteen suspects have been arrested in connection with an illegal marijuana plantation in the Springfield area, north of KwaZulu-Natal.
The arrests were made during a multi-disciplinary law enforcement operation on Wednesday morning.
Police said the farm where the marijuana was being cultivated was disguised as a vegetable farm.
Police spokesperson Ntathu Ndlovu said the suspects will make their first appearance in court soon.
“During the operation, 14 suspects were arrested, and 10 of them were foreign nationals. Pieces of South African National Defence Force uniform, machetes and processed cannabis was also found in the possession of the suspects.”
