PRETORIA - The GOOD Party has condemned the killing of five people in Olievenhoutbosch in a mass shooting, saying such crimes are prevalent in townships.
Secretary general of the party, Brett Herron said crime, gangsterism and violence are high in areas where there was previously spatial planning and urgently needs to be addressed.
This is in response to the shooting that happened at a tavern at the Choba informal settlement where gunmen entered and opened fire.

The shootings claimed the lives of two females and three males, leaving three other patrons injured.
Herron said such crowded areas become spaces that are conducive to crime because of the socio-economic conditions.
"We have a duty to confront our failure to address the spatial legacy conditions that create the social-economic conditions conducive to crime and gangsterism," said Herron.
