The Basadi in Music Awards kick off at the Joburg Theatre this weekend.
The two-day event will see the Vanguard Awards taking place on 1 August, hosted by Lamiez Holworthy, spotlighting the unsung heroines behind the scenes.
Everyone from artist managers to entertainment producers, hairstylists, and creative masterminds.
The Music Awards take place on 2 August, hosted by Lerato Kganyago, honouring the country’s phenomenal female musicians.

This year’s Lifetime Achievement recipient is gospel icon Rebecca Malope.
