Court hears that Lifman, Naude & Booysen brothers were part of criminal enterprise called 'The Brotherhood'

CAPE TOWN - A Hawks detective has presented evidence alleging that slain night club bosses, Mark Lifman and Andre Naude, were part of a criminal enterprise called "The Brotherhood" along with alleged gang boss, Jerome "Donkie" Booysen.
The detective is testifying in the high-profile trial related to the murder of "Steroid king" Brian Wainstein, who was shot dead in his Constantia home in 2016.
Prosecutors on Tuesday showed the Western Cape High Court cellphone records that allege that Lifman, Naude and Booysen were associates for more than 20 years.

A Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation detective, who cannot be named, on Tuesday told the court that she was part of the team that investigated Wainstein's murder in 2017.
As part of her investigation, she was given recordings of phone calls between alleged underworld figures, Lifman, Naude, Colin Booysen and Jerome Booysen.
The captain said that it became clear to her that Lifman, Naude and the Booysen brothers were part of an enterprise called "The Brotherhood".
"She State's version is that during 2016, Colin Booysen, Mark Lifman, Andre Naude worked together."
The detective told the court the phone records allege that Lifman, Naude and the Booysen brothers were associates for more than 20 years.
Lifman and Naude, along with three other accused, have been killed since the start of the trial.
