In a strange turn of events, the pictures and videos of a crocodile in a river near Rome in Italy was actually an inflatable toy.
Police and animal control brought in drones to track down the reptile, following reports on social media.
However, no one seemed to pick up on the fact that the crocodile was always in the same pose, never moving.
After a three-day search, the croc was found and revealed to be an inflatable toy.
“It had apparently been left by a family for other children to play with on the beach.”
