Four bodies burnt beyond recognition in gruesome Inanda attack

Four people were burnt beyond recognition in a gruesome incident in the Umthata area of Inanda, north of Durban, in KwaZulu-Natal.

The crime-ridden community woke up to the horrific discovery earlier on Sunday.

Police have confirmed that the four charred bodies were found in two different vehicles.

One body was discovered inside a bakkie, while the remaining three were found inside a light motor vehicle. All were burnt beyond recognition.

Adding to the mystery, investigators also found cattle carcasses next to the bakkie.

Police say investigations are underway to determine the cause of this brutal incident. However, officials have indicated that stock theft cannot be ruled out as a possible motive.

Detectives are currently searching for the suspects behind the killings.
