FS police appeal for info after woman's body found stabbed & burned in Bohlokong

JOHANNESBURG - Police in Bohlokong are urging the public to come forward with information regarding the case of an unidentified woman who was stabbed and burnt beyond recognition.

It's understood that a community member found the body on Monday morning.

A case of murder has been opened, and police say they are trying to determine whether the woman was sexually violated before the murder.

Free State police spokesperson, Mmako Mophiring, said it was disheartening that at the start of Women’s Month, such crimes were being committed.

"Any person with information that could assist in identifying the victim or in locating the perpetrators is urged to contact Bohlokong or SAPS Crime Stop number."
