NCOP delegation promises to ventilate KZN SAPS issues

DURBAN - A delegation from Parliament's National Council of Provinces (NCOP) to KwaZulu-Natal has committed to ventilating the province's woes, including rampant crime and a policing crisis at the national level.
On Wednesday, the NCOP met members of the provincial executive, including Premier Thamsanqa Ntuli.
During engagements, they discussed KZN's battle with crime, particularly political killings, among other issues.

Democratic Alliance member of Parliament (MP) Mzamo Billy led the delegation in the closed-door session.
“Our shared concerns were expressed, the Premier and the collective MECs also expressed commitment to working together with the delegation.”
He said the meeting will yield positive results, describing the talks as historic.
“This is the first of its kind where the delegation from the NCOP meets with the Cabinet and explicitly make comments to working together - we see this as a great cooperative approach which is historic in our.”
