Sefoka and Buthelezi were killed in a hail of bullets in two separate incidents in 2022.
The State believes Molefe is the mastermind and has been charged alongside three alleged hitmen.
In an affidavit, the lead investigator, who cannot be named for safety concerns, told the court that Molefe was not only a dangerous criminal who had no regard for human life, but was also capable of interfering with the criminal justice system, as he had previously promised the family members of his co-accused that they would be granted bail in a different murder case against them.
"On 15th July 2024, the applicant sent his wife a text message: "Appearance for bail application today. Next court appearance, bail will be granted for him.'"
The sergeant also told the court that witnesses had expressed their fear over Molefe's release on bail and were likely to go into hiding to avoid testifying against him in court.
