LUSIKISIKI - The families of 18 people who were shot and killed in Lusikisiki in the Eastern Cape have accused the special Mthatha High Court of unpreparedness in relation to hosting witnesses testifying in the matter.
Two State witnesses took the stand on Wednesday, detailing their recollection of the brutal attack in the special court sitting in Lusikisiki.
However, one of the witnesses could not hold back her tears as she re-told the violent incident.
Spokesperson for the victims’ families, David King: "You'd note that she was crying, but there was nothing to even wipe her tears. We in the gallery had to organise something for her to wipe her tears, so, to a certain extent, we feel that the court is not prepared."
