CAPE TOWN - Tearful family and friends of 16-year-old Kiara-Joy Daniels, who is one of four people killed in a car accident in Brackenfell, have celebrated her life at a memorial service in Kuilsriver.

Daniels and two other minors, Adrian Le Roux and Perth Eksteen, as well as Daniel Jansen van Rensburg, were killed when their car hit a tree on Cecil Morgan Drive at the weekend.

Six people were in the car at the time, and the two other passengers are in a serious condition in hospital.
 
Mourners who filled the Logos Assemblies of God Church in Kuilsriver exchanged hugs and wiped each other’s tears at an emotional memorial service to honour Daniels.

Her aunt, Vanessa Daniels, said she still hasn't come to terms with her niece's passing.

"This is so hard for me to do, but I want to do it because I loved Kiara so much - she was like my own."

The teenager's funeral will be held on Saturday.
