CAPE TOWN - Sentencing in the trial of three men convicted of killing a woman outside Wynberg Magistrate’s Court has been reserved until Thursday.
Mandisi Mofu, Lukhanyo Mene and Vuminkosi Vumani appeared before Western Cape High Court Judge Andre Le Grange to ask for leniency.
Mofu has been found guilty of Christine Gumira's murder, the attempted murder of Thandi Viljoen, who was caught in the crossfire, and the possession of an illegal firearm and ammunition.
Both his accomplices have been found guilty of conspiring to kill Gumira by pointing her out to the shooter.

Mandisi Mofu, Lukhanyo Mene, and Vuminkosi Vumani each calmly took the stand to ask the Western Cape High Court to show them mercy when imposing sentences.
They all maintained their innocence of the charges against them, claiming to be puzzled by how they're linked to the crimes.
When asked if they're remorseful for the crimes they're convicted of, all three men told the prosecutor they cannot say if they are or not, while being clueless about how they're connected to the crimes.
Mofu is looking at life imprisonment for Gumira's murder, while Mene and Vumani each face 15-year sentences for their involvement in the hit.
Meanwhile, the state is asking the court to impose life sentences on the trio.
