Stormers bring back hoops and stripes as new kits unveiled

CAPE TOWN - The Stormers unveiled their new kits on Tuesday night, teaming up with one of the leading brands in sport.

The Stormers seem to be creating a buzz ahead of the new season. Having revealed their new logo a few weeks ago, they’ve now unveiled their new kits, reuniting the hoops and stripes.

"It's obviously iconic first of all. For us to be associated with them brings back core memories for myself and I think many of the fans out there growing up, going to Newlands and watching the Stormers," said Salmaan Moerat.

Inspired by the Bo-Kaap community, the away kit acknowledges rugby heritage in the Cape as Seabelo Senatla explains: "The jersey is about expression. It's about diversity, it's about individualism, so it's very expressive."

The Stormers host Leinster in the URC on 26 September.
