JOHANNESBURG - Police have fired rubber bullets at residents in Westbury who have been protesting over a prolonged water shortage.

A 68-year-old man is one of the people who’ve sustained injuries after being shot on his back and bottom.
James Johnson said he was targeted and shot unprovoked.
“We protest peacefully and all of a sudden, police they surround us, and they started shooting at us and there was no reason. They didn’t explain to us what. There was no stones thrown - nothing.”
