JOHANNESBYRG - Many parts of Johannesburg are experiencing protests on Tuesday morning, with major roads closed to traffic in many areas.
Residents in Tsakane and Vlaskfontein, on the east rand, have been protesting over the lack of service delivery.
The Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department’s spokesperson, Joy Mdluli, said officers are monitoring the situation.
“The traffic is now flowing freely; protestors are currently waiting to be addressed by the war councillor.”
Meanwhile, Westbury residents have blocked roads with bubble and rocks protesting over the lack of water.
