Known for her roles in Gomora and Blood & Water, Qamata has been named the new L’Oréal Paris ambassador for sub-Saharan Africa.
The same talent who captivated audiences as Buhle Ndaba in the Mzansi Magic hit Gomora and stole scenes as Puleng Khumalo in the Netflix series Blood & Water is now stepping into the beauty spotlight.

Qamata’s announcement, made at an intimate Johannesburg celebration hosted by Pamela Mtanga, wasn’t just about a deal. She emphasised that her role is deeply personal and aims to inspire other women.

"What it is to walk in your confidence isn’t always easy," Qamata shared. "Confidence and building resilience come with hardships and standing here today is a testament not only to God’s glory, but to His grace and mercy."

The partnership reflects shared values and excitement for what Qamata described as her "next chapter."

Her mother, visibly moved, said: "I'm just grateful. I see her growing, achieving everything, and it’s all about God's grace." She praised Amamkele for her humility and respect for people from all walks of life.

Qamata was recently in Paris for the L'Oréal Paris fashion show, Le Défilé, following in the footsteps of South African stars like Bonang Matheba and Thuso Mbedu.

"It's very exciting," Qamata said, likening the anticipation to an expectant mother awaiting birth. "I really want this partnership to be intentional."
