Three members of a proclaimed 'African tribe' have been evicted from their camp on council-owned land in the Scottish woods in Jedburgh.
Dubbed the Kingdom of Kubala, the tribe consisted of three people: Kofi Offeh from Ghana, Kaura Taylor from the USA, and Jean Gasho from Zimbabwe.
They allegedly refused to vacate the area and would not recognise the court's order to evict them.
“They say the land was stolen from them 400 years ago on the Scottish borders just north of England,” says world news correspondent, Adam Gilchrist.
They livestreamed their eviction on social media on 2 October.
Offeh and Taylor were arrested on suspicion of immigration offences while Gasho left the area.
World news correspondent Adam Gilchrist is in conversation with Clement Manyathela.
