Women and Men Against Child Abuse says girls remain one of the most at-risk groups in South African society.

The organisation’s operations director Vincentia Dlamini said centering girls means recognising how their gender-specific differences create unique vulnerabilities...

“We need to encourage everyone else to understand that we need to have interventions just beyond the general child and women’s right frameworks that are also understanding who are the vulnerable and, in this case, we know that the girl child is.” Dlamini said.
