The family of the late ambassador to France, Nathi Mthethwa, says he died serving the country, describing his political career as a testament to his dedication to public service.
Mthethwa was laid to rest in northern KZN on Sunday after he died in Paris almost two weeks ago.

Mthethwa's brother-in-law, Sfiso Buthelezi, who is among those who fetched the body in France, told mourners that Mthethwa worked tirelessly for South Africa.
"His entire life was about other people; he served the people of this country into the last day. He died with his boots on. We want to thank everyone, his comrades, colleagues, and literally all of you for making Nathi who he was."
