It’s not yet clear whether Tuesday’s witnesses are former or current employees of the fund, but the three are set to provide insight about procurement matters.
On Friday, the Special Investigating Unit (SIU) laid bare some of the irregular processes at the fund, which it’s been investigating over the last five years.
The SIU said past board members had been found wanting in executing their fiduciary duties, including the disbandment of the RAF’s panel of attorneys.
This week, the inquiry is set to focus on the awarding of contracts for the panel of attorneys, medical experts, media and marketing services, as well as security services.
On Friday, the committee is also set to hear from the law society.
The committee indicated it intends to call former RAF board members to explain their role in a number of the instances, including a legal challenge against the auditor-general on its accounting standards.
