On Friday, 17 October, the community can get their mammograms, pap smears, and prostate checks done by a team of medical professionals at the Alexandra Clinic.

Pink Drive, 947, Primedia Cares team up to bring free health screenings to Alexandra

In line with World Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Pink Drive, 947, and Primedia Cares are bringing free health screenings to Alexandra.

947’s Mo Flava will also be broadcasting live from the clinic.

“We thought it would be a really good thing to paint Johannesburg pink and essentially raise awareness, educate the community, and encourage the idea of early detection,” says Mo Flava.

In a community where resources are limited, this initiative brings screening services directly to the people who need them most, says Trish Taylor, Head of Primedia Cares.

“The Pink Drive does an amazing job in terms of promoting early detection, and most importantly, bringing much-needed screening clinics to communities in need,” she adds.
