Ntshavheni lauds law enforcers over efforts to hold those accused of tender fraud accountable

Minister in the Presidency Khumbduzo Ntshavheni has praised law enforcement agencies for their recent efforts to hold those accused of tender fraud accountable.
This follows the Special Investigating Unit (SIU)'s latest report, exposing syndicates linked to the R2 billion tender corruption at Tembisa Hospital.
The SIU recently raided the home of alleged tender corruption mastermind Hangwani Maumela in an attempt to recover nearly R900 million of the stolen funds.

Addressing the media following a Cabinet meeting on Thursday, Ntshavheni emphasised that the SIU must be given the space to continue with its work.
"The SIU's work is not the result of an accident, it is the intentional work of the government, led by the president, who sanctions SIU investigations. The fact that you see action being taken means that action is being taken, it means the fight against corruption is right on course.
