Western Cape police have arrested three suspects believed to be behind the theft of cellphones worth around R500,000.
The trio allegedly robbed a retail store in Khayamandi on Thursday afternoon.
Investigations led officers to Kruskal Avenue in Bellville, where the suspects were tracked down and arrested.
Police spokesperson FC van Wyk said they’re expected to appear in the Bellville Magistrate's Court on charges of possession of stolen property.
"The members confiscated altogether 51 cellular telephones that were robbed at the store in Khayamandi, as well as a different shop in Bellville. The combined estimated value of these devices are R500,000."
