The incident reportedly occurred after Ngidi’s car was blocked by the suspect’s vehicle.
Police say Ngidi was killed in cold blood simply for asking to pass.
Family spokesperson Siya Ngidi said they want to ensure there was no foul play involved.
"It seems like it is something that was planned and that there are people who are behind this thing. If there are people behind this thing, we want those people to come forward and explain what happened exactly."
