She had to be reminded of her own anniversary on the red carpet for season two of her Netflix show, 'Nobody Wants This'. But that was not the worst of it.

Actress Kristen Bell is facing criticism for her wedding anniversary post, which many have deemed to be tone-deaf and insensitive.

The anniversary initially slipped her mind, and she had to be reminded about it on the red carpet for season two of her Netflix show Nobody Wants This.

"She had a very funny exchange with one of the reporters from Entertainment Tonight, and had to be reminded that, 'Oh, by the way, your wedding anniversary is coming up,'" says 947’s Zweli Mbhele.

Bell admitted that both she and Shepard were not great at remembering dates.

When the anniversary did, however, come along, she faced some backlash for an Instagram post.

Alongside a picture of the pair hugging, Bell included a controversial quote from her husband, Dax Shepard:

"Happy 12th wedding anniversary to the man who once said to me: 'I would never kill you. A lot of men have killed their wives at a certain point. Even though I’m heavily incentivised to kill you, I never would.'"

It didn’t go over well with her nearly 16 million followers.

"That’s a wildly sad and insensitive thing to say, considering it's Domestic Violence Awareness Month," one person commented.

Meanwhile, the murder investigative show Dateline cheekily commented, "Screenshotted".
