Madlanga Commission: SAPS senior forensic analyst assigned to PKTT testifies

A second witness has taken the stand at the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry on Tuesday, with another ballistics expert beginning his testimony.
Captain Medlon Mkhatshwa, a senior forensic analyst at the South African Police Service, is presenting his evidence before the commission.
Mkhatshwa is one of the ballistic analysts who were assigned to the KwaZulu-Natal Political Killings Task Team (PKTT) to assist with the analysis of firearm-related evidence.
He is the second ballistics expert to testify about their work with the task team on Tuesday.
Mkhatshwa began his testimony by explaining what his duties in the PKTT were.
“We were attending to crime scenes, vehicle identification, linking of cases and again were also examining homemade devices and etching firearms that had serious numbers removed.”
