The family of two Mamelodi women who were shot and left for dead has been left to connect the dots and figure out what may have led to the brutal murders.
Baleseng Moramaga, 21, and her sister, Tshiamo Moramaga, 22, were shot in the early hours of Sunday morning after a night out.
On Monday, police arrested a 38-year-old man linked to the murders and charged him with two counts of murder and one of attempted murder. It is alleged he also shot a third victim who was rushed to hospital.

The family of Tshiamo and Baleseng said the young women loved each other deeply and grew up like twins – even deciding to stay together when they moved from Lukau Village in Limpopo to Mamelodi in search of a better life.
Their aunt, Maki Moramaga, said in her quiet time she still wonders what may have led to their brutal murder.
“The suspect was Tshiamo’s boyfriend. What I think happened is that Baleseng was trying to protect her sister, and that’s when he decided to kill them both,” Moramaga stated.
Moramaga said she is filled with so much anger that she does not want to see the suspect even in court. The man will make his first appearance at the Mamelodi Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
