England once again stands between the Proteas Women and another shot at the ICC Women’s World Cup title.

The pair will meet in the semi-final in Guwahati on Wednesday (11.30 am).

The Proteas were stopped by England in two previous World Cup semi-finals in 2017 and 2022.

The team will need to dig deep after a tough start to the tournament, says cricket commentator Jeremy Fredricks.

"South Africa did struggle, especially when they were playing sides like England and Australia, so this is a massive game. They must bring their A-game. There is a lot at stake."

Fredricks added that it would be important for experienced players, such as Laura Wolvaardt, Tazmin Brits, Marizanne Kapp, and Ayabonga Khaka, to step up.

"Today is a new game. It is South Africa’s batting that has got to be better. I think we’ve got the bowlers to do the job and the experienced players in the team have got to stand up."

The match toss will take place at 11.30 am.
