Controversial group Operation Dudula has threatened to visit schools next week to ensure that children they believe to be undocumented foreign nationals do not benefit from the public education system.

This despite a recent court ruling that found the group's practice of demanding identity documents from patients at public healthcare facilities is illegal.

The organisation argues that the judgment only prevents them from interfering with hospitals and clinics, but not with public schools.

Operation Dudula believes the recent court ruling will enable undocumented foreign nationals to exploit government resources without accountability.

The movement turned political party argues that South Africans should be the top priority and that undocumented foreign nationals should not have access to public healthcare services.

Operation Dudula leader, Zandile Dabula, said that public schools should prioritise South African citizens.

"The court does not stop our intended operations at schools. Now this means on Monday, the 11th of November, we will be at the schools."

The group is now appealing the Gauteng High Court's ruling barring it from blocking foreign nationals from accessing public healthcare facilities.
